Post 75, the optic pictured/referenced appears to be an Aimpoint ACRO P2.
The referenced article didn't mention the optic as to whether the German special forces is adopting that optic.

Quick update with the Sprinco yellow spring: no-go with 115 grain ball; numerous failures to eject. 115 works without the micro comp but ejection is a dribble. 124 grain works with the comp on and it’s a good setup for recoil control and muzzle flip. BUT ejection is still dribbly. Ordered the next spring down, the white one. I’d like to run this gun with the comp so hopefully this’ll do the trick.

Thank you, I forgot about the white spring.
I know when I'm shooting light 124gr loads, I could open my range bag beside me and most of them would just fall in it.
My light loads are probably mid range though to most people.

Popped in the Sprinco white spring today; it’s definitely lighter and I hope it does the trick with 115 grain loads. Should be a FLAT shooter.

Not yet Sir. I hope to be able to hit the range early tomorrow morning for a function check, at least. I run a lot of 115 grain and I’m confident it’s going to work with those; but I also want to make sure it’ll run with NATO spec and 147 grain ammo too, without being beaten up.

Got the Sprinco trigger return spring in; seems to have lightened the trigger pull about 1/2-3/4 of a pound. Pretty good!!

I haven't got to try my Holosun out either. Two more days and I'll have 4 off, then I can play. I don't know how I couldn't like it. I need to load some 9mms too. I think I'll load some BE-86 loads.
5.3gr is really accurate with a 124 gr Xtreme TC plated bullet out of my PDP Pro SD.

Escaped for a half-hour to shoot the PDP as configured thusly: Sprinco recoil spring “system” with light, white spring, Sprinco reduced power trigger return spring, HB Industries micro comp, Taylor Freelance black brass backstrap, Holosun SCS-PDP direct mount.

The pistol will now reliably cycle 115 grain ammo although ejection isn’t forceful; empties travel 1-2 feet to the right. Control is very good and even with the fairly small window on the Holosun, I don’t lose the dot in recoil. The gun is now sprung perfectly for 124-147 grain ammo, and empties are piled nicely 6” to my right at 3 o’clock. Accurate hits are also now easier with the lighter trigger pull. I didn’t put it on my gauge but my seat of the pants meter says it’s 3 lbs. This is a very nice gun and super fun to shoot.

Finally got to try mine at the range. I had trouble trying to sight it because I was trying to use the open sights and the dot at the same time because I could see them both at the same time. First Red Dot with Co-witness sights. I had to make myself tune the open sights out and just pay attention to the dot.

First and second target I was creeping the sight adjustment to the right a little at a time. The target on the right is where I left it. I'll try it there for a while.

My 25 yd target was nothing to brag about until I found the X ring. Didn't put them all through it but a fair share of them. But someone was banging away with a 500 AE two lanes down from me when I was trying to shoot so I claim a foul, and I started getting a headache from the percusion off of it, so I packed up and left.
I really like the holosun SCS and the more I use it the more comfortable I get with it.

I had trouble too adjusting to the dot at first, and found myself distracted by the lower 1/3rd co-witness. I started out trying to focus on the dot, which was frustrating, and I kept over-adjusting to the “shake” as the dot danced around a bit. It took me maybe 500 rounds to stop staring intently at the dot and to focus on the target with the dot “floating” over the aiming point. Now I can do precise work and I shoot better with the dot.

Tomorrow I am doing a head-to-head with the following pistols:

Walther PDP Pro
CZ P-10F
CZ P-09
H&K USP .45
S&W M&P 5.7

The CZ P-10F has an Overwatch trigger and reduced power striker spring, an RMR, and I just dropped a DPM recoil system into it. The P-09 has CGW trigger parts, an HB microcomp, and Dawson Precision sights. The USP is still stock while I await the RMR mount on my spare slide. The 5.7 is stock except for a Holosun 507k X2 green dot which is a direct mount, and I have an HB microcomp on it too. I want to see how flat I can shoot it.
