Picked up a SW 1911 at the Crossroads show yesterday. The box /ser # indicate it is a sku 108282 but some changes have been made. All of the controls are stainless and a magchute has been added. The barrel hood, slide to frame fit, and bushing fit a rock solid. The trigger is perfect.

The pistol was sold by the dealer as new and the warranty card and other documentation was included. The fired case has a date of 10/03. Any ideas where this came from. Did a distributer make get a special run?

Can't read the serial number but it looks like a standard that somebody added a few aftermarket parts to,,,,,,
Nothing wrong with that and if the work was done to a brand new gun, it is still a brand new gun.

I've never heard of any special run like that, but it sure looks nice!
I have a "standard" SW1911; only thing I did was add hex screws.

In my neck of the wood's if the gun came from another person and not the distributor and had added parts to the gun after the fact , then I would have to say the gun is used! Also most dealers say even though a gun is NIB not fired its still consedered used unless it comes from distributor that way!

looking at the magwell, I'd have to agree with the others and say it looks like it's been modified. All of the factory extended magwells I've seen were shaped so that the opening on the bottom of the gun and the top of the magwell lined up. That one looks like an aftermarket job.
