The 119 is the only Buck fixed blade I've ever had. Don't know why.I don't under stand why I have never own a buck knife fixed blade. I love the design. I don't know how many deer and elk I have dress with a 110 but is is a lot as I have lost count. Beautiful knife by the way.
Me too.The 119 is the only Buck fixed blade I've ever had. Don't know why.
Very nice. Looks like you got a clean example.I went back to the ER Saturday but got lucky and was able to go home. Here's a couple of bad pics!

Surprisingly, it is not that sharp. Needs a touchup on the Wicked Edge.
If I get an actual user, I think I'll end up getting the version with S35VN steel and a micarta handle. Someone gave me the Harbor Freight knockoff that I use as a beater knife, and my cocobolo one I just can't bring myself to use much. To pretty, haha.I currently don't have a 119. I have had a couple in the past, but swapped them. The next one will be here to stay. I field dressed my first deer with one. Why I parted with it... I haven't any idea.
You could look at one of the Buck Vangaurds. They have a bit shorter, but, "heavier" blade with different handle material available. I'd probably drop down to the 117 Brahma though, I like about a 4-4.5" blade for general utility
Thanks! I'm actually considering the Pursuit Pro as well. Handle isn't as nice as the Vanguards but the S35VN piques my interest. You could look at one of the Buck Vangaurds. They have a bit shorter, but, "heavier" blade with different handle material available. They too are very nice knives.

Actually, not to deviate from Buck, but kinda thinking about an ESEE 4 in S35VN now...
Appreciated again. Looking for more of a utility/camping knife that could be pushed into hunting use if needed. Will probably end up buying a dedicated hunting knife if that ends up being a consistent need.If you’re wanting a hunting knife you may check out the ESEE Ashley Game Knife in S35VN, it’s on my list to add to the collection at some point.
I've just always loved the style of Buck knifes, even if their clip points aren't the best utility blades.
