I am really interested to see one, but as far as I know they haven't come out yet. I'd really like to get one to "play with" if the price is right -- there's no point to getting a Charles Daly HP if I can get the real deal for not much more.

Anybody in the know? Anybody seen one yet?

Cheers,
Wes

If they are available in MD (I doubt it, I didn't see anything about a built-in lock) I'll probably get one. If not, I'll have to wait about a year (my current grad program is a short-term certificate so I'll be applying to a more traditional MA or Ph.D. program for next year and it will probably be out of MD).

As for the roll-mark, I have a CD 1911 with essentially the same roll mark and it isn't really that bad. I've seen worse on more expensive pistols. It is pressed, fairly shallowly, into the metal with no ink applied in the roll-mark for it to stand out (as some unfortunately do).

I will probably pick one up if the dealer price is in the low $300s. I could use another HP anyway as I have piles of mags for them. My MkII doesn't get shot much anymore. I have heard mixed things about those sights. My neighbor had them on a Glock and now they are laying in his parts bin.

I'm still waiting to see one in person.
I love the sights. I put them on my Springfield TRP.

AAARRRGHGGHHHH!!! I MUST NEVER EVER SELL ANY GUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use Ashley Express sights. They are super fast. They work really well at what they were intended to do.

If your goal is to shoot itsy bitty pretty groups bullseye style then they would be horrible. If you want to get good hits quick, there is nothing better.

I look forward to seeing one. If it turns out well, I would like to get one.

Found a Browning Hi Power in excellent shape at a shop here for $440. Might have to jump on that.

As for the CD ones, I havent seen any yet..

Looks interesting. It might make a good basis for a custom piece. If it's close in price to the FM or the FEGs then I'll be more than happy to buy American. I'm looking forward to seeing how Stephen A. Camp weighs in on it.

Regards,
Rabbit.

I understand that they will interchange part wise. I am assuming if it has FEG roots that it is derived from the PJK and not the mutant P9M. The latter is most certainly NOT interchangeable. I hate it when companies "simplify" an already simple design.

My take on it is...if you can get one below the retail price? and what CD CANT you get for less? The gun is a very good deal. The sights and safety improvements are great...the blueing looks good. FEG guns do anyway.
Instead of Century or whomever you deal with on warranty problems with the FEG's..you do get the pleasure of CD customer service, but a good lifetime guarantee..

Id like one.........Shoot well

It looks like it will be worth checking out. Buying it would depend on it's function and price. I still have my eye out for a good used BHP or a new CZ-85, 85 combat or an old 75 pre-B. Lennyjoe, take another look at that BHP. Price sounds GOOD!!!!!

I've never owned an HP but I am highly considering one of these. It would be mostly a range gun, not so much for carry. If the price is right and the wofe says its okay I'll pick one up.
