I have been shopping for a new storage building and I found a lot with several 'repo' banners and stopped in after work. At one unit there was a sign stating that the people could pick up thier belongings after hours (it was after hours when I was there) within seven days.

Now here is the part that concerns me: I went in the unit as it was the one I was Interested in and amongst the old tables and chairs there was a glass front gun cabinet. I counted 5 rifles and a pellet gun and there was still 2drawers I could not guess what was in.

This lot is about a block from the youth rec center, a skate park and a playground. There has not been anyone there in 2 days since. The only thing I touched was the door lock on the way out.

Does anyone else think this was irresponsible of them? Of me( my wife thinks I should have contacted LE)?

I'd say it was irresponsible of them, but I'm not sure about you.

I would agree that the firearms were not adequately secured and that this is equivalent to leaving the sitting out in the open unattended.

Call the cops and report it.

So what did you get??
Lets see photos or it didn't happen!

We will set prices on them and you can tell how good you made out after we see the photos.

Well Monday will make 7 days, if some one is there I was thinking about just buying WITH the crap in it as I still want the building. Three of the guns were .22s there was a 597, a lever action, and what looks like a marlin that was run over by a tank. I have no idea what the other 2 were.

I should have taken a pic but it was feeling a little wierd being in there. Even without firearms in it it bothers me they put it on display with someone stuff in it.
