Deer # 2 for the season

the Grendel took another one for the season, little spike, not a big guy but it'll fill up a freezer shelf.
shot him with a 120 gr ppu hollow point, exit was a little bigger than a quarter, very short bloody trail of about 15 yards into the pines and found him piled up.

maybe I can get another one before the season is over

Our late doe and spike season closed a couple of weeks ago. Meat in the freezer is nice. Put 3 in there this year despite the drought so all is well.

Don't think I posted the doe I shot with it in December, she was facing me quartering slightly away, hit her in front of the right shoulder, diagonal cross body shot exit about 6-8 inches behind left shoulder, this was with a Barnes 115 gr TX
