    Why Own a Snubby?

You should assume you will come across a terrorist cell, wherever you go and, carry accordingly. Everywhere. At all times. Or, you will die. Avoid large bodies of water as your greatest threat, carrying a Ranger battle load out, will be drowning. There. I fixed it. And, get a NASCAR as ones...

    Why Own a Snubby?

I don’t believe I ever alluded to that.

    Why Own a Snubby?

I cannot possibly carry everything I “might” need in any scenario.

    Why Own a Snubby?

There’s a point of diminishing returns. You “might” need a Glock 19 and two extra mags to survive an armed conflict. (Honestly, that’s probably not true. If you are facing that many armed and determined adversaries, I’m betting you are dead before the first mag change…nonetheless) Your odds of...

    Appendix carry.

I’ve got a couple Sig P239’s. With the DAK trigger. I carried those, appendix, for many years. I think of them as just flat revolvers.

If you're interested in Schrade Shrades

I’ve owned dozens of Scrades. Usually Old Timer and Uncle Henry Stockmans years ago. I still carry a Schrade almost every day.

    Appendix carry.

True. But. The odds are not zero. There is enough stored energy for the gun to fire. I really can’t say it enough. “I” don’t like it. Many do. The vast majority do not shoot themselves. The chances of all the parts breaking, at the same time are, astronomical. There’s a YouTube video of a...

Oh-oh….S&W 629 Deluxe Light Primer Strikes!!

Maybe the yoke was moving forward when the hammer hit. That would explain replacing it. Either from the screw or, it was cut too short.

    Appendix carry.

If I add shoulder surgery in, I might. I carried a 1911 for years in a Milt Sparks Roadrunner. Tried it the other day and it hurt to draw. A lot.

    Appendix carry.

Appendix is it for me. See all the reasons already mentioned. Plus, if I have to, I can draw with my left hand, upside down, and pull the trigger with my pinky. Optimal? No. But, if my right hand is holding anothers hand that has a box cutter in it… That shot will come out of left field...

    Appendix carry.

The K6xs I bought at Bass Pro was $619. It was exactly what I wanted. I’ve got other short barrel .357 magnums. SP101. Ruger Speed Six. .38 Special was fine in this gun. The all stainless are bumping around $1000.

    Appendix carry.

In descending order. Fun to shoot. Acceptable. Stops being fun after about three cylinders full. I’ll probably just carry the non +P 158 Gr Semi Wadcutters. I’m weirder for penetration than the chance of a HP actually expanding out of a 2” barrel. on an 8” plate, at about 10 yards, accuracy...

    Appendix carry.

It goes against my gut. I know lots of people do. I know they rarely shoot themselves. With cocked and unlocked pistols though, you rely on the gun to NOT fire unless you want it to. If something breaks, it may fire. With a DA gun, I rely on the gun TO fire when I add the energy. If...

    Appendix carry.

I’ve been carrying a P365 for awhile now appendix carry. Great little gun. Has a thumb safety. Feel reasonably safe carrying it but, occasionally it runs through my mind that there’s a cocked pistol pointed at my femoral artery. It’s given me no reason to doubt its safety or reliability. But...

    Most rust resistant handgun?

When I lived in Texas, in 105 summers with 65% humidity, nothing was rust resistant if carried concealed. At the end of a day at work, wearing navy blue polyester, 25 layers of Kevlar and 20 pounds of gear, when I got home, every trace of cologne, deodorant and talc was in my socks. I...

Why Do You Carry A Gun?

All kidding aside. I was a Police Officer for 36 years. I’ve carried a gun the majority of my life. I did all the fun high speed low drag stuff I wanted to do since I was 14. If an active shooter starts killing people. An innocent person is about to be murdered….If I come across an...

    Ankle Holster

The Renegade was awesome. Carried one for many years with a 642. Inside left leg. Seated in a squad car, if somebody walked up on me, I could have the gun out and behind the door and, they’d never know it...

What's your preferred every day carry?

I’ve run through everything. From a full size 1911 to a Seecamp .32. Is carried a 1911 as a duty gun for almost 20 years. And, for awhile, carried it off duty also. I also discovered that I wasn’t really getting into that many shootouts off duty. And, keeping a full size 1911 concealed gets...

    Curio & Relic Carry Piece

I bought a beautiful Nazi Police PPK. Had it with me and decided to run out to the department Range to pop off a few rounds. It worked perfectly. I was working plain clothes at the time and took off my duty gun while I was at the range. So, I loaded it, stuck it in my waistband and, headed...
