Clean the gun just as in the army manuals say and they do fine as have guns done that way I got from grand dad that are over 100 years old and no issues. Its anal ram ram the rod in and out twits that cause damage or they use WD-40 on the poor things
Keep in mind that 2400 is a powder that needs and good tight crimp too. No crimp no go. Standard load is also 15 grains with a 158 168 but that's full size guns to like the 27 28s.
will depend on the gun but here I used to shoot keith 165 SWCs in a luger and it ran better than the crap 380 in a 9mm case they did back in the 70s and 80s before 9mm as SAMMI
I looked at one and was for the cost seemed a great deal from what I can see. I got a stainless springer garrison instead though but really have no use for a clone 1911A1 as have a colt made in 1918 in good shape.
Here I am lucky in the high desert as about the only way a gun will rust is if the dog pees on it vs drive 4 hours to the coast leave a gun in a truck over night it has rust on it in the morn.
Just go drive down a hwy for 30 min then think the same bozos may own guns and vote too. The world or should say the US is filled with the "gump" factor. The world is not perfect too as was out on my horse once in a nasty trail area with a 629 in a Bianchi shoulder holster and a dead tree limb...
Its kind of like ford vs chev all personal what ya like deal. Me I hate appendix as it eats me up driving. I think body size and gun size make a huge diff with that too. Kidney area I can sit and drive with out gun eating me up or jabbing me plus 100 degree days just pull out shirt tail and if...
Here I figure if i can kill bull elk with a .357 that should work for a bear. last bear my brother killed was with a 250 savage 87 grain pest load too. Here all we have are black bears so a .40 or .35 sig with flat point FMJ will work just fine.
Here I have a rossi 92 in .44 and also have a new win 73 short stroke match gun. The cheep 92 copy is much smoother and less hassle to run but the win sure is pretty.
Here for 9mm I went Sig. Have a smith E series .45 bob tail and for what it cost its just a looks nice vs my garrison springer. It has the most nasty trigger pull of any of my 1911 guns.
And too top all off the navy tried to can willis lees bum out of the navy as he wore glasses.. the man that sat on crubs at mexico to draw fire to shoot mexican army snipers and gold metal at the Olympics.
Here I have a 75 in .40 and had one of the original CZ guns the turk army over runs in 9mm from hmm years ago and good guns. My only gripe is try to get a .357 barrel for one.
Good 1911 A-1 for cost get a garrison. I do have a colt 1911 made in 1918 I like but good gods the cost of them now the garrison is the most close to that I have seen. I also have a S&W E series commander that the trigger suck vs the garrison and it cost twice as much.
