    The big N Frames

Does anybody carry a big N frame for their daily carry? I've carried my model 29-2 and my model 624 occasionally. Both 4in bbls. I run into the problem that it's hard to not have them print. Carrying them isn't a huge ordeal for me. You definitely can feel the weight after full day though.

    A spare reload if needed

I am sure this topic has been covered many times before. I've read so many reports by police agencies , by the FBI and so called armchair experts. That the usual gun fight is settled within five feet and the average is three shots fired in 6 seconds. Am I being over the top paranoid by carrying...

    We all have favorites

When it comes to guns, I'm sure we all can agree everyone has their favorite revolver, auto , and so on. Maybe we inherited these guns, maybe we were given them as a gift. More than likely we worked hard and saved to get the guns we have today. My S&W 29-2 was just that. Saved, searched and...

    Grail gun happiness

It doesn't get much better than an original Ruger Redhawk in 357 magnum. Replaced the wood grips with a nice set of Craig Spegel grips. This was my Grail gun I had searched for, 20+ years, finally in 2023 I was successful.

    The classic "Hardware" double barrel

Bought this 12ga Double Barrel 20 years ago, it is a classic hardware gun from the depression era.. It's an Eastern Arms 12ga with 26in barrels. I've been able to date it to the mid to late 1930's. Has one minor 1in hairline crack in the stock, I've fixed that though. Most of the bluing has worn...

Taurus hit a Grand Slam with this gun.

Bought this gun 2 years ago. I have to say, one of the best scores I've done buying guns. 1984 factory new Taurus 92 AF 9mm. Original box, paperwork , mags. Just an awesome deal, it's like finding a time capsule from the mid 80s . I love shooting it. It begs to be shot. At close to 40oz loaded...

    Maverick 88 Security

Had this dude awhile, and I can say best $220 I've ever spent on a gun. This 12ga gets the job done. Love how it cycles everything without issue. Accurate, fun to shoot and super reliable. I added the 4 shell saddle and it looks awesome.

The country must be flooded with guns

The market must be awash with an awful lot of guns at this time. The reason I say this, I have a gun listed on this site and on Guns International. It's brand new, original box and paperwork, four high capacity magazines and a brand new left hand leather iwb holster. I have it listed for a...

    Two of S&W best ever

In my opinion, these are two of the very best Smith and Wesson ever produced. Here is a model 29-2 and a no-dash 686. Next to my original 1984 Ruger Redhawk 357, theses are my all time favorite revolvers let alone any handgun.

duty size gun carry for ccw

Do you belive that a duty size carry gun can make a good ccw if you can conceal well and manage the weight? I sure love my Springfield SA-35 and have carried it a few times with my IWB holster for it. I am 6'4 and 285 It doesn't weigh me down carrying it for a day. My main ccw is my Hellcat Pro...

    Condition 1 or Condition 2

I am left handed. My Springfield Armory SA-35 only has the safety on the left side of the slide. I am carrying in condition 2 (loaded chamber, hammer down) I can manipulate the hammer easier then trying to take the safety off. Its a bitch trying to use my left hand to take the safety off. Any...

Original 686 or original King Cobra

Ya gotta pick one. Original 4in S&W 686 or the original 4in Colt King Cobra. Will be a carry/ home defense revolver. I'm in the 686 camp myself. Had both, loved both. But my no dash 686 is still with me. My opinion only. I think it's the best 357 made.

Is there really that much difference 115 or 124gr for the 9mm

For self defense ammunition. Is there really that much difference in standard pressure loadings for the 9mm when you put the 115gr up against the 124gr? I use 124 HST in Autumn/Winter and 115 Gold Dots for Spring/Summer. This is out of a Shield and a Hi Power I carry these loads for.
