    What did you shoot today?

Shot the Kimber Rapide again today. Got a bit more serious than on Monday. 8 mags of seven, but at a much slower pace. I lost 2 pieces of brass. I like to use my tailgate to keep "Track". One can see my cheap $0.03 six inch paper plate target under the pistol. Shot at 7 to 10 yards. Still not...

What have you done in the reloading room today

Not in the reloading room, but in the garage this morning. Today I finally finished popping spent primers out of range brass. Last up was .223 and 5.56. and this happened.......... Stuck in the shell holder. Just bent it over, snapped it off and was good to go, BUT, Memo to self, Watch for...

    What did you shoot today?

49 rounds of 45 ACP through my Kimber Rapide this morning. Was a bit upset finding the range that I care for with un-authorized "targets" shot up. Fired 7 mags X 7 times as fast as I could at 7 yards. Groups improved through the volley. Felt better after cleaning up the place and then taking...

    Powder preservation

Not true! Helium has been in short supply, world-wide. Since it has been discovered a bit south of my location, that may change! Maybe one of the largest discoveries in history in North America, near Babbitt, MN a bit over 1200 or so feet underground. Google it!

    Powder preservation

Do you have access to nitrogen? Or an inert gas? Not many do.......... I did when my Dad worked for Union Carbide, but that was decades ago...........

What have you done in the reloading room today

Finished tidying up the spare bedroom where I reload. Then back to the garage, continuing to pop spent primers. Found a new one in WIN 9mm. Damn crimps.......... At least one knows these are once fired! ;)

What have you done in the reloading room today

Putzed in the room a bit this morning. Cleaning and putting stuff away. I may be done reloading until next Winter as it looks like I have plenty of ammo until then. Found a little tin box that was my Dad's that I had forgotten about. Opened it up again and decided I should separate all the...

What have you done in the reloading room today

Those blocks are homemade. The bottom two are what my Dad made back in the eighties. Laminated thick plywood. The top one is one I made a few years ago out of scrap dunnage from Asia. Different sizes on each side. I have no idea what the wood is but it sure is pretty! (in my eyes)

What have you done in the reloading room today

Been having a hard time with keeping up on all the spent brass that I pick at the "Strange Range". Pre-washing (mud, its that time of year, I guess) and popping spent primers. It will get done. Finally finished loading 300 rounds of 38 special. I think I've mentioned working in a spare...
