Using Citrus solvent as an environmentally friendly less toxic gun cleaner/solvent.

There is an "aircraft grade" Simple Green that should work on aluminum guns.

    Two more "tactical" 10/22's

I have an otherwise standard looking 10-22 with red dot and 'nanner clip that I am going to use to let my IDPA protege see what a PCC might offer. She and another friend are getting sticky credit card fingers.

True Velocity sues SIG over ammo technology

Ok boss, just as well sue them, the company lawyers aren't doing much this week.

Using Citrus solvent as an environmentally friendly less toxic gun cleaner/solvent.

I once applied kitchen coconut oil to slide rails. It slid smoothly and shot fine. I did not leave it on there, I had read of coco based Froglube gumming up with age.

Using Citrus solvent as an environmentally friendly less toxic gun cleaner/solvent.

I use M-Pro 7 bore cleaner which seems to be a detergent rather than an oily solvent. Nonflammable and low odor at any rate. I have such an assortment of lubricants including "gun oil," motor oil, and industrial oils, not to mention blends, that I just apply whichever is closest to hand.

Interwar German Combination Gun - Trying to determine what I've got..

You would see "70" for a 2 3/4" chamber, assume 65 if not marked. RST makes some. https://www.rstshells.com/store/m/16-Gauge.aspx Corrected: It should be marked either 8x57 JR or 8x57 JRS for .318" or .323" bullets respectively.

Scope Height vs. Cheek Weld ?

A term I used to hear “cheek mirage.”

    Glock 17L Gen5 MOS

Note that the G17L does not have a competition home other than GSSF Competition. It does not fit the IDPA Box and is not on the USPSA Production approval list.

    Inexpensive O/U

It has been long enough that prices paid are not relevant, but my first real trap gun was - still is - a Remington 1100TA. I also still have the Broadway I traded a seldom shot Superposed 20 for. It was well used and after a few seasons of doubles, I sent it to Arnold MO to be tightened up. A...

PPC Loads for 38 Special and 357 Magnum (Target Level)

All I can contribute is that 3.2 gr W231 is in the low 700s with HBWC. I think you are really lobbing those BBWC from magnum brass.

Would it make any sense to do this?

30 inch. Iron sights? A smidgen more velocity? There is an additional charge for lengths longer than 26". Which is why I have a 28" Kreiger. They charge extra for 30".

    Glock 17L Gen5 MOS

So if yours are trouble free, what are the irons backing up? One friend has gone all optic, no iron sights on his pistols.

Small Game Hunting With Centerfire Cartridges

Old time hunters would stay in the woods a good while and live off the land. Small game loads for your big game rifle were a regular subject of the hunting and fishing magazines. Col. Townsend Whelen was a strong proponent. He used jacketed bullets so as to not have to deal with lead on...

    Glock 17L Gen5 MOS

Pardon me for protruding, but my only dot is on a .22. What are the factory or other iron sights for? Are you using them to "find" the dot? Are batteries running down a common fault? Or sights falling off? By many reports the screws are pretty cheesy.

    Colt is releasing more 'memberberries.

If you like the gun, fine, but they are just recycling model names and you will not be getting the same specs.

    Is it possible?

Even Winchester had trouble making a 94 in .44 Magnum.

    Hitchcock 45's hearing protection.

I had two tries at ”custom molded on the range” plugs. Neither was comfortable or quiet.

    Chronograph recommendations?

I have a Prochrono similar to armoredman's. It is an early model with wired remote control, which did not hold up even after factory repair. My FLG/ham radio operator said the connections were just cheap and nasty. It worked ok as a walk-down unit, if the range was unattended and I did not...

    No Moon Clips

As said, you will have to push cartridges past the Charter spring loaded rimless extractors. How well does this work with a speed loader? Who will be hastily reloading a hideout gun like that? English and Continental gunmakers will sell you a double express rifle with that type of extractor...

    Chronograph recommendations?

Since I have the Garmin, the Labradar LX will just be something interesting to read about, but it will be a competitor in the market for those who haven't bought yet..
