The article concludes:Are 44 revolvers dying? Yes, I think so. If fact, I think they’re nearly done for already.
Is he right? Or is this far too pessimistic? Ruger did recently bring back the 44 Mag Marlin levergun.There will never be a great resurgence of 44 popularity. As old-timers such as myself pass on, the younger generation will focus on autoloaders - mostly black ones. So yes, I think the great 44s of America are dying.
