    Waiting Time for Suppressor Approval?

I don't want to sound like debbie downer, but I submitted an eform 4 trust with 1 rp on it a month ago, and I'm still waiting.

    Barrel Treatments for 300 BO

as far as durability goes, nitride > all else. after that my understanding is that it's all about the same. from accuracy standpoint, chrome lined is the worst. it's an old military thing to keep the barrels from pitting. it's old technology, like parkerization. just get a nitrided barrel and...

Does anyone own a YHM R9?

I bought a Rex mg7 that's basically the same thing. It's in jail. I can let you know how it is in somewhere between 2 days and 9 months. I even have a cmmg radial delay gun to put it on. What I can tell you is that my liberty mystic x on an 8" banshee shooting subsonic ammo is still louder than...

    Radial Delayed Blowback

good catch. I was on my phone and totally missed it. apologies. I would be down for a 15 or 20 rd mag. I usually run 20's on my AR's. I like less mag hanging out, and I never load more than 10-15 rounds anyway. it slows my down and helps conserve ammo.

    Radial Delayed Blowback

Exomag exists. https://www.meanarms.com/products/detail/exomag-20-round. They even have a 40rd mag. They are pretty janky looking though. I'm not a fan of the skeletonized look.

Which Ruger Mark IV to get?

Ahh the slab side mkii. My unicorn. I have the stainless gov target model, but those slab sides are just so sexy. But honestly, the mkiii is where the value is at because everybody hates the lawyer crap. The mk4 is stupidly overpriced. I've had most all the versions by now, and Ruger has...

    Marlin 1894 SBL

love the figure on the rear stock. I cannot say like the potbelly look of the forend as much.

    Marlin 1894 SBL

I just do t understand the big loop levers phenomenon. Makes me bang my knuckles when I run the gun. Now, I'm in Texas and wear gloves about once a decade, so maybe that's part of it...... That aside, the 357 one is tempting. A stainless and laminate threaded 1894 in 357 was always my unicorn...

    Let’s talk die maintenance

    I don't think I've ever cleaned a die.

I'm looking for something like a left handed bergara hmr in 223. does such an animal exist?

I have that same rifle in 308 as well. it's nice. especially after I had it threaded and replaced the trigger spring to improve the pull weight.

I'm looking for something like a left handed bergara hmr in 223. does such an animal exist?

I have considered that. but even then, not a lot of right handed 223 bolt guns that are not a traditional hunting style stock. I'm seeing the american gen 2, or the winchester xpr, and there aren't a lot of aftermarket stock options for that. maybe the cz 600 alpha?

I'm looking for something like a left handed bergara hmr in 223. does such an animal exist?

I'm looking for something like a left handed bergara hmr in 223. does such an animal exist? or am I going to be looking at building something? And if I build, is there a way to do it that doesn't cost $2000+? I'd thought I might find a used Remington 700 and put in a barrel nut prefit (remage)...

If I wanted to put a 9mm upper on a regular AR lower---

So, I got an early one, and it killed the ejector spring pretty early on. Cmmg sent me a shorter stiffer spring that seems to be doing the trick. The original died at maybe 300 rounds. The 2nd is going strong at about 800 or so so far. I'll be honest though, I shoot the suppressed 38 lever gun...

If I wanted to put a 9mm upper on a regular AR lower---

i did the 9mm ar15 2 ways: 1) 9mm glock lower, heavy buffer blowback upper. it worked fine. recoil was greater than a 223. 2) regular AR lower, mean arms endomag, and a cmmg radial delayed upper. uses a standard buffer, so converting from 223 to 9mm is and upper and mag sway only. The ejector...

Marlin experts needed- 336TS with 18.5" barrel and no cross bolt safety

The 1894c is wearing a Leupold vxii 2.5x in a scout mount. Eye relief is long enough that you clear the hammer, but it does make mounting a problem. It's too long for a conventional mount and really too short for a scout mount. The 336 on top wears a Burris timberline 2-7x26 compact scope. But...
